Crows are cross!

A family of three live in an oak tree next to our house.

They grouse and fight even at night.

But in the day they sail away to far way places and

Leave traces of their flight with their unpleasant

Sounds that pound the countryside.

This spring they hatched a tiny thing that look deformed.

But I must hand it to them! As parents they were

Patient, thoughtful and spent hours teaching

The little wretch to stretch and eventually,

To fly!
